Botox & Dysport - $10 Per Unit

Botox and Dysport are botulinum toxins that help reduce wrinkles within days of the injection. They both work by blocking the signal from the nerve to the muscles, allowing the muscle to relax and thus reducing and/or eliminating the wrinkles. The medication starts working within 2-5 days of injection and results usually last 3 months. Often times referred to as a lunchtime appointment, it usually only takes 15-30 minutes with the ability to return back to work immediately after!

The most commonly treated areas are in between the eyebrows, commonly known as the “11” lines, the horizontal forehead lines, and the crows’ feet. But there are many other uses as well, see below for additional common areas as well as dosing.

Commonly used amounts per area:

“11” lines, in between the eyebrows 15-25 units
Horizontal forehead lines 5-20 units
Crows feet 12-24 units (total for both eyes)
Bunny lines (on nose) 4-9 units
Jaw (Masseter muscle for clenching/grinding) 30-60 units (total for both sides)
Gummy smile 1-5 units
Lip flip 2-4 units
Smoker’s lines around the mouth 2-6 units
Downturn smile 4-8 units
Orange peel chin 4-8 units
Nefertiti Neck lift / Platysmal bands 24-36 units
Under arms for sweating 40-100 units (total for both armpits)

Both Botox & Dysport are made from the same bacteria and have similar properties. However, Botox is known to be a little “stiff” and can give a more frozen look. Dysport tends to kick in a few days sooner and has a little “softer” or natural look to it. Both are great and effective medications. Some people prefer one over the other while many can’t really tell a difference between the two. Hillary always carries both and is happy to help you choose what is best for your desired results. Prices for them are the same: $10/unit

Filler - $550-$750 Per Syringe

Fillers differ from Botox and Dysport in that they focus on volumizing the skin, mimicking bone, fat, and deep skin layers. The results are immediate and can last anywhere from 6-24 months, depending on the type of filler and where you place it.

Fillers come in pre-filled syringes, most being 1ml in quantity. They are sold usually by syringe and can vary how much one needs, depending on age, volume loss, and desired result. Many fillers are made out of hyaluronic acid, which naturally occurs in the body. It is considered very safe with few people having any allergic reactions with it.

On the occasion that someone has something done that they do not like the results, commonly seen with a group on or seeing an inexperienced injector, the filler can actually be reversed! Hillary has helped numerous clients reverse their poor results from other providers, then redo the work to have a more natural, beautiful look.

Most clients biggest concern is looking “done” or “fake”. When too much filler or the inappropriate filler is used, this can occur. However, after listening to your concerns and understanding your desired results, Hillary mindfully chooses fillers that will best meet your needs.

Average cost of Filler per Area:

Area Treated Approximate cost
Mini Lip (1/2 syringe) $375
Full Lip $550
Under Eyes $550-750
Nasolabial Folds/ Smile Lines $550
Cheeks $750
Jawline $750
Chin $750
Downturn smile $550
Temporal Hollows $750

Juvederm has a nice thickness to it that makes it great for volumizing and is commonly used in the lips for luscious, full lips. It can also be used in the jawline, chin, and for nasolabial folds. You can expect it to last 6+ months.

Restylane is similar to Juvederm but is slightly softer. It is also commonly used in the lips, nasolabial folds and is a go-to for many injectors under the eyes. You can expect it to last 6+ months.

Vollure is a very soft filler used to treat superficial and fine lines. It can also be used in the lips to give a more hydrated look. Because it is so soft, it spreads easily and can be used virtually anywhere on the face. You can expect it to last 12+ months.

Restylane Refyne

Refyne is a beautiful soft filler similar to Vollure, with perhaps a little more volume to it. Due to newer technology, it allows it to flex beautifully, creating a more natural result. Hillary loves to put this in thinner or aging lips as it adds some volume without looking “ducky” or fake. It also can be used to etch out any superficial or fine lines. You can expect it to last 12+ months.

Restylane Defyne

Defyne is similar to Juvederm or Restylane, but has a newer technology that allows it to flex with the tissue. It works well in nasolabial folds, lips, marionette lines and to etch out any deeper creases. You can expect it to last 12+ months.

Restylane Lyft

Lyft is a harder filler that lifts, defines and restores volume to the cheeks. It also works great for chin augmentation, nonsurgical nose jobs and for jawline contouring. You can expect it to last 18-24 months.

This unique filler comes in a 1.5ml prefilled syringe as opposed to virtually all the other ones that come in 1ml syringes. Unlike its hyaluronic acid counterparts, this filler stimulates collagen production. It is great for cheeks, jawline, temporal hollows, and chin augmentation. You can expect it to last 6-12+ months depending on how your body responds to it.

Voluma is similar to Restylane Lyft, in that it is perfect for cheeks, jawline, chin and nose augmentation. However, it tends to maybe have a softer look and less lifting capability. It also should last 18-24 months.

Restylane Kysse

Kysse is a beautiful filler that is perfect to give you a nice fuller lip without looking fake or ducky. FDA approved in 2020, it has quickly become an injector’s favorite filler for lip enhancements!

*Expectation for the duration of a product depends on many factors such as how quickly your body breaks it down, where it is placed (lips move a lot and tend to break filler down more quickly), and how much you work out.

Kybella - $950 Per Treatment

Kybella is a product that stands in a class on its own. It contains deoxycholic acid which naturally occurs in the body. It is injected into the skin in an area where there are numerous fat cells, most commonly underneath the chin, in the jowls, or for the “bra fat bulge”.

It causes the fat cells to die, giving you a permanent fat reduction in the injected area. Although it comes in vials, most treatments require at least 2 vials. As such, it is sold per treatment which is $950 (which includes 2 vials).

**Please note that the descriptions above are based on Hillary’s personal experience. Each injector may have a different opinion and description of the products. However, in an attempt to educate you and help you understand the different properties of the various products, Hillary has described them as such.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How is RF microneedling different from regular microneedling?

Traditional microneedling uses tiny little needles that gently glide into the skin causing microscopic little holes which stimulates your body to build collagen. Radio frequency microneedling does the same, however when the little needles are in the skin for a nanosecond they emit a radio frequency energy which is heat. That energy goes deeper into the skin causing greater skin coagulation resulting in skin tightening and increased collagen.

Which microneedling treatment is most powerful?

The RF microneedling treatment can be anywhere from 3-5 times more powerful than regular microneedling due to 1-it can go deeper into the skin, 2-the radio frequency energy and 3-the precision of the machine with different settings.

What all does the RF microneedling treat?

RF microneedling is amazing because of its versatility. It can treat acne scars, tighten the skin, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, reduce sweating under the arms, reduce unwanted fat such as under the chin and reduce stretch marks/scars on the body.

What’s the difference between the Vampire Facial and RF Microneedling?

The Vampire Facial is traditional microneedling with PRP (platelet rich plasma which is your own blood drawn from a vein and spun down to a concentrated plasma liquid). RF microneedling is the machine itself, however you can also put on PRP after the RF microneedling session as well.

What’s the cost difference for traditional microneedling vs RF microneedling?

Traditional microneedling is usually $300-400 in Utah. You need 3-5 treatments to equal one RF Microneedling treatment. RF microneedling is $500-$1,000 per treatment, varying per area.. Depending on the issue, 3 treatments can be recommended for best results.

What’s the downtime after a treatment?

You will be red for 2-6 hours and slightly pink for a day or two. It is best to avoid makeup for 3 days after the treatment so your skin can breathe and heal. Although this treatment can be done anytime of the year, like any laser service to the face or body it is best to avoid significant sun exposure for 2 weeks after the treatment.

How long do the results last?

You will start to see results 4-6 weeks after the treatment, however it can take up to 6 months for the skin to remodel itself and get the final result. The results can last years, depending on smoking status, eating habits, sun exposure and age.
